Can ML be trained to turn written accounts into images? Based on comparing current written accounts to current images. That seems like it could make the past feel more real.

Wow, what a fun and knowledge-filled article. It felt like reading Feynman. Just casually browsing HN, this solves a problem that's been bugging me for months in my game: The world is scaled in feet/inches, while WebXR uses meter

The title edit saves characters but makes it less funny! Original title: > Why do recipe writers lie and lie and lie about how long it takes to caramelize onions? > lie and lie and lie Those recipe writer propagandists!

Thanks for mentioning others. The main thing I love about OP's library is the simple, clear naming. A lot of complexity has been solved for me. Looking at random-js, the barrier to entry is higher. I've looked at randomness libr

A while back there was a post about a randomness bug in Asheron's Call, the "Wi flag" [0]. I posted a comment there and was offered helpful answers about doing weighted randomness [1]. This library seems to solve that proble

Use LLM for the broad strokes, then fall back into 'hardcore JS' for areas that require guarantees or optimization. Like JS with fallback to C, and C with fallback to assembly. I like the idea.

Agreed, but I’m looking for what’s next, not the current state of the industry or jobs. I’m riding the JS/TS wave for a while but I can already imagine improvements. If a language is rising, I’ll check it for those needs. Nix has bee
