Standup is a thing you do in scrum but I don't think it's the most important thing. I think the most important thing is getting better at estimating work over time and leading to better ability to plan realistic chunks of work, an

While it's not a fixed function pipeline, there is some level of correlation between 'brain damage at site x' and 'effect y' so while phrenology is bunk, the brain is also not just a blob of compute.

You will have a very hard time because it has its own script (though I guess you could use C#) and it's very opinionated about lots of things like the node graph, etc.

Be careful with clocks. I semi-intentionally developed clocks-not-looking-right as a dream test and then, not having thought about it for years, got a hilarious moment of disassociation when our conference room clock was broken and I happen

Starcraft does this for it's map animations. Each player in the game has a different color (so you can tell who's units are who's) and on some level that color is implemented as an index into memory, so if you set the player

I wonder if you could somehow get this working with libraries that are widely ported across platforms already like SDL.

I wonder if the amount of labor required to type corrections is a better explanation than not wanting to pay for binding.

Tiberian Sun's technology is really unique and cool and I wish they'd open source it so I can see how they did everything. The 2d lighting really have it a distinct atmosphere.

Here's a real example from a project I worked on in my homebrew ECS framework and later implemented in Godot: a guided missile. In the ECS project the notion of 'thing that can run into other things and do damage' so totally

I think it's that it's just subtile enough that you question if it's moving at all, and that disagreement between expectation and observation creates a sense of unease.
