Well in the case of Musk, you can just listen to what he says directly, he blasts every thought out on that website, for better and worse. The picture you get of him by listening to him directly is so different than how he is portrayed by t

I don’t know or care enough to question it. I am assuming them making false claims like that would open them up to some kind of lawsuits WRT advertisers or something?

It’s clear that old school media _really_ does not like Musk or X and are doing anything they can to make him/them look bad. But also, the more articles you write about “rocket man bad”, doesn’t it become more and more obvious what you

Why doesn’t anyone organize a protest or march for stuff like this? I would join that.

“The only appropriate response” implies that Jews cannot be criticized or questioned in any way. Reading the exchange it is very obvious that musk does not hate Jewish people and is not saying anything hateful about them.

The posts I quoted are literally follow ups to the exact thread that everyone is talking about. Musk has had a previous series of exchanges and controversies specifically with the ADL as well since they started a multi-brand advertising boy

Well the problem in this case is that there was an exchange of multiple tweets, but you can just pull a nitter link of the one offending tweet and taken in isolation it looks hateful. If you take the full exchange it doesn't read as ha

From his original post: musk: "The ADL unjustly attacks the majority of the West, despite the majority of the West supporting the Jewish people and Israel. This is because they cannot, by their own tenets, criticize the minority groups

Pretty much, yes. From Musk: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1724933980276084909 Article from CNN talking about their definition of racism. https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/04/us/

Here he is defending the Jewish state from calls to violence https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1725645884409401435 There is more nuance here than what the article is saying.

Musk posted follow-up responses to his own response to someone who is Jewish. There is nuance in the discussion that is being completely lost. Here is one of his responses further down: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/stat

The ADL also defines racism as something that only white people are capable of. https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/04/us/anti-defamation-league-rac... They changed the definition in 2022 from: "Racism is t

I like the idea of Rust, its technical merits etc, but good lord this language has some crazy weird and intimidating syntax. I read the code snippets and am just confused as heck. Did it really have to look like this?

You can also find some quotes from Obama saying “those jobs are just not coming back”. The tiny amount of manufacturing they have tried (and mostly failed) to bring back pales in comparison to what the US used to produce.

This is a commonly restated falsehood, manufacturing doesn’t have to be a commodity, you can just have labor laws and unions. The US had a thriving manufacturing sector for generations and it was the backbone of our economy, then we gave it
