This is probably not as true as you may think. There are many sources that point to GOP meetings where they planned no-compromise obstruction to anything the president tried to do starting from his initial inauguration. I agree in that I do

This is probably what they said about many other of the world's worst dictators and human rights abusers until they actually did dismantle all the institutions that opposed them.

How much wider of a net are we casting when we consider what counts as a "death due to mental illness or substance abuse" compared to 25 years ago? I don't doubt it may have gone up, but I do doubt that these numbers tell us

It seems that they are unable or unwilling to separate deaths due to mental disorders from substance abuse. Probably due to the thinking that anyone who dies from a substance abuse issue is dealing with a mental disorder. While this may be

There is a reason they mostly don't exist, at least in the US. After Lavabit was so publicly shut down, it's going to be a losing proposition for anyone to put so much time and effort into it, just to then be given a choice betwee

I tend to feel that this is more for parents who don't trust their kids, rather than those who do. Many parents will say, "My kids won't have a problem with this because we have trust in our family." The truth is, if y

I agree, but this isn't a problem with MDMA, but with illicit drugs in general. When you buy cannabis, LSD, cocaine, or anything else on the street, you have no way of knowing what's in it for sure unless you have a way to test it
