They do seem to offer generic SAML SSO, so I'm guessing you could hook it into M365 manually if necessary. We use JumpCloud and I'm interested in seeing how Linear might integrate using SAML.

It seems the outages have been isolated to specific instances. Not everyone is having problems but a significant amount of customers have been "down" for multiple days.

I can see being down for a couple of hours or possibly even a day. But 4 days is a bit much. Couldn't they restore from a cold backup in less time than that?

From what I understand, Atlassian is pushing hard to move everyone to their cloud offerings. I think the only way to run on-prem stuff now is to use the Enterprise or Data Center offerings, which are stupid expensive.

I discovered direnv a couple of months ago and put it to work automatically switching AWS profiles. Now, when I work on CloudFormation templates for each of my AWS accounts I don't have to manually copy & paste ENVARs anymore. Th

Oh my Dad's old Chevy stepside was a bear to drive. That 3-on-the-tree gave me fits. On the upside, I can drive just about any car on Earth now without too much trouble.

Yea, I drove my 914 for 3-4 years before selling it. I didn't remember having trouble shifting until I read the article and your response here, then it all came flooding back. Those first couple of weeks were "exciting" but

We had a guy in some Ford station wagon that would win all the time. The smoothest driving I've ever seen; I don't think the tires even made a noise.

I autocrossed my '71 914/4 and it was so much fun. Somewhere I have a picture of me 3 wheeling it around a corner.

I was a contractor in corporate America for a while and experienced the same thing. The way it was explained to me was that you cannot give contractors the same "benefits" is a regular employee. If you do, then you have to treat

I wanted a ".dev" domain for a project a few years ago. At the time, Google was the only one offering that TLD. However, it looks like you can get ".dev" domains anywhere. Was this change part of Google Domains leavin

You know, I don't mind advertisements that are really targeted and would enrich my life in some way. I use Ublock Origin (and others) everywhere I can and it's great. However, there are some things that I want to be told about o

I think a better option would be to use a light pipe like Solar Tube[0][1]. I've worked in an office with one and it was just wonderful. Natural sunlight is just so invigorating, I can't really explain it. Anyway, these tubes do

Would it be possible / ethical to also remove Russia's connection to the Internet at large? Similar to a reverse great wall? Would this hurt the Russian people more than the government?

What about spooling up 10,000 servers to do a job and then deleting them when it's finished? I've literally done this for image processing and it's not something that I could ever have done in the past.

100% agree! I suspect that Teams is just a fancy front-end to Sharepoint, so it was "easy" to build. Just fire up Electron and duplicate Sharepoint features. Oh, and tack on a chat function while your at it. Done!

I ran across this service while reading a blog post from Corey Quinn about AWS security. It turns out that CanaryTokens has a AWS IAM token generator that alerts whenever someone tries to use it. That's a great idea and I can see spr

I think the Keybase project would have been great for providing the "authentication" part of this solution. To bad it died on the vine of the Zoom purchase.

If you're on a Mac then the built-in Preview app works pretty well for this type of thing. The only problem I've had with it are accessing signed PDFs from AWS SOC2 attestations.

Thank you for pointing out that jq can create JSON! I use jq all the time for working with the AWS CLI and a big pain point has always been sending JSON. If you don't know, the AWS CLI depends on JSON arguments for quite a few common
