I have been using Firefox since 1.5 or so, and will keep using it because I value customizability. I keep Chromium around for web development, but it has a lot of issues with Wayland (not to be confused with XWayland) currently.

Most people live in houses with poor insulation and ventilation, because they either don't used to live in a hot climate or have air-conditioning. We don't build smarter because air-conditioning is cheaper, but a lot of people can

The internet was just as viable in 1995. We were doing commerce over phone lines using computers for 20 years at that point. By the time there was an internet nobody had a reason to question it, or desperately try to find use cases for it.

Fahrenheit is intuitive. 0°F is the lowest air temperature measured in a town called Danzig in winter 1708-09, and water boils at 212°F. 4°F is ammonium chloride brine, and water freezes at 32°F. These are ballpark figures, you need Celsius

I'm betting that hiring is harder for Rust. The post gives Go 3/5 for stability, and Rust gets 5/5 for it's memory safety benefits. The post says that memory safety was the primary deciding factor. Hello? Go and Node.js

In Zig print formatting is comptime (it is evaluated at compile-time). I find this so neat. You can also achieve comptime monomorphization (generics) and polymorphism (interfaces) this way. No macros or templates needed. https://
