Any programming language with macros is done goofed in my book. I ain't no preprocessor. Zig does this right with compile-time code execution. C++ and Rust both suffer from trying to cater for every use case. They are the Holy Grail of programming. C++ found it's place in game development, but that's not enough, and Rust is being pushed for everything, even if it's only good at replacing C++. Between C, Java and JavaScript you can probably do everything, but no language will ever be a good replacement for all three at the same time.
