It does lots of good. What's your point? --- Edit: I presume drive-by downvoters supported the conviction of Wayne Couzens?

Lots of EU countries have ID cards, this is not something enabled by Brexit. I don't really get the dystopian angle to it either. Do countries with ID cards see them as authoritarian?

There's space for a "classy" or "thinking person's" social media company - Substack could be that.

This comment sounds clever but makes no sense. The CEO can and must apply his principles to the company if he wants to consider himself moral under his own code. Just think it through; is he morally bound to actively pump out lies and propa

I don't see how that works in a world truly without copyright. You can't spend hundreds of millions making GTA6 if the first person you sell it to can give away copies.

How so? The commercial organisations will be able to use a GPT bot to provide more believable comments, at greater scale, and cheaper.

I just tried to find a FOSS tool for converting MS Outlook .pst file to .mbox. I first tried Google; the results are dominating by commercial crap. Then I tried the "google reddit" trick to try and find some real people's opi

The stock market is not zero sum. I would be amazed if it was not the case that most investors make money investing in stocks.

Perhaps I misunderstood the example but I thought the point was precisely that there is a dependency between Occupation and Location which individual tags cannot express...?

I think the only feature you need to express this is to be able limit a tag to the context of another tag. It's slightly different than a compound tag because each tag can still be used independently. I experimented with a system like
