Aren't those one time things that define the future of your career? Sort of a pedigree being established? You can go to a top tier university, land a great job for several years, have positive references, and still be required to do le

Look. I've seen a lot of your comments in this thread, and I don't think you're listening. You don't seem open to hearing . What I read is a knee jerk justification for your hiring methodology without being open to any

I appreciate the reference. But, I don't think those are vultures. They are bald eagles. I'm not sure if owls scavenge, but I do know they primarily hunt. Eagles both hunt and scavenge. Vultures primarily scavenge.

So, they're actually testing to see if you have commitments outside of work. "Great" filtering for parents or people caring for ailing family or any other non-work commitment. I guess it's not ageism at all, right?

I don't know why CEOs make these sort of announcements. Several months ago my CEO mentioned in a townhall that raises would be larger than normal this year due to recognizing inflation. At the tail end of my reasonable and normal perfo

No, it literally does not. Lower down it discusses the nationally averaged poverty line. At no point does it make any claims to a number for a SF specific localized poverty line. As you say, local values are going to be different, but the n

I found this claim dubious so I Googled: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-44725026 You can't just change words like that. It's dishonest. Poverty != "low income".

I'm a little confused - why does the existence of platinum cast gold as negative? Both are "positive" elements, but one may have greater value than the other. Maybe that's not what you meant though.

You should know that COBRA can be retroactive. You do not have to sign up when you terminate your employment. You can sign up when you actually need medical care that you want to be covered. Though, at that time you have to pay back for the

I'm not familiar with the author, so maybe you can add context for this comment. I'm reading it as snark that posits the author has no credibility, which isn't a very valuable comment in itself.

My father managed an Eddie Bauer flagship in the 70s, and they sold shotguns and climbing gear, as well as camping and fishing equipment. He considered A&F their primary competitor, which is how I learned that history.

Batteries are sold with an expiration date on the package, and I don't think that's usually decades out. In the 80s I remember seeing expiry dates on AA packs of 99, and my child-brain thought they didn't expire so they put

Before, Abercrombie was an outdoor supply company. The movement into generation-focused apparel was a pivot. They didn't make the next pivot to maintain. I think most companies need to continuously evolve.
