I had Sonic fiber for a few years, in the Bay Area. I always got the full gigabit, basically. Speedtest always showed around 940Mbps up and down. This was over Ethernet, since I always ran Ethernet into the Thunderbolt dock for my main Mac.

The fastest internal SSD in a Mac now can write at 3.3GB/sec, so it would be able to keep up with 25Gbps connections, barely. Average SSD write speeds are usually around 1GB/sec these days, but most folks could build a RAID of sev

It probably looks new mostly because the pipes are so shiny. This is because, in order to change any note, a new pipe is actually installed in one of the slots.

You could listen to one of the versions out there that only lasts an hour. That would give you a good sense of the full piece. Then you could go listen to a snippet of it, in this extremely slow version, and get a sense of that. Then combin

No, it's not trivial to make extremely long time-based pieces on the web. Because you have to keep the computer running continuously. That turns out to be extremely difficult. So there is no spectacle, here. Part of the magic of Cage&#

Um, obviously a lot of people. Lightning is ten years old. People have ten years' worth of docks and cables and specialized accessories. Another thing most mindless USB-C promoters aren't aware of is, the Lightning port is signifi

It probably only cuts one way because it's difficult or impossible to implement "anti-monopoly-power technology", as you put it. Indeed, in your own comment you posited the existence of such a technology but then failed to su

Indeed. It only takes 5 minutes to figure out that staying with Lightning serves Apple's existing customer base better than an arbitrary stupid change to USB-C, which offers basically no advantages to iPhone users and a lot of disadvan

You're probably incorrect about German teenagers, who appear to have basically the same preferences as US teenagers, i.e., overwhelming preference for iPhone or the nicer tiers of Samsung devices. https://www.statista.com&#x

Sorry, nope. Not in this context; the context of a professor-student relationship where the professor is obligated to treat students with basic respect.

That right stops once the speech becomes abusive. Professors don't get to abuse students. For instance, a professor could make sexual comments about a student. That, too, by your definition, would be "free speech", and thus a

There is no "religious right" to be an abusive asshole. Further, there is no religion whose tenets require you to be abusive to trans people, or which even suggest such behavior.

There are a couple gigantic blind spots here: 1) AI appears to have approximately zero chance of making housing and food and other basic needs cheaper. 2) Artists WANT to make money for creating art, music, etc.

Actually, we do indeed what the vote would have been, which is why AP felt comfortable calling it. You know why they called it, right? It's because Hillary had enough pledged and unpledged delegates at that point to become the nominee.
