I had Sonic fiber for a few years, in the Bay Area. I always got the full gigabit, basically. Speedtest always showed around 940Mbps up and down. This was over Ethernet, since I always ran Ethernet into the Thunderbolt dock for my main Mac. Usually got around 500-600Mbps over WiFi on a fast device.
