In my opinion Scott was really generous even answering. Horan makes no attempt at supporting his claim that QC will move us closer to midnight on the Doomsday Clock.

Redundancy. Failure should always be an option. Specific answers will depend on your stack. Nobody will be able to monitor and react like you will because all IT solutions are their own species of butterfly with their own intricacies. If up

Sibling comment has the info. This is not an increase in energy efficiency just conversion efficiency. You pump in more amperes over the same voltage and manage to split twice the amount of water with the same size array. Still great thou.

I've never ever seen such a brutal sentence in science before: "In summary, unlike the objections of the IBM group, so far I’ve found Gil’s objections to be utterly devoid of scientific interest or merit." Yikes.

You can make a problem that is hard to compute but easy to verify. You can also go by known big-oh computation complexity estimates how long it would take you on a classical computer. Not too hard to prove.

I actually started out thinking Blizzard could do nothing to redeem themselves. What level of action would make me believe they could be a trusted honest actor on the cultural stage given the capitulation to CCP interest? I cancelled my WoW

My son-in-law has lived in China and confronted me about my boycott. His position is that the content in Blizz games is kinda subversive to the authoritarianism practiced by the CCP. No other gaming company has the breadth of socially refor

Worse yet: electrons passing down into ground state will emit a photon. In essence, all we see ever is direct electrical activity.

I've yet to experience that. Been doing NVC for more than a decade. It helps a lot defusing tense situations. This example isn't very good. It shows the form but not the power.
