They are resold in Korea for insane prices. No explanation why they are so coveted over there but they are. I have one but no desire to sell it - I just like it.

Well I suppose if you can't catch any criminals after they commit a crime the next best thing is to catch them before they commit a crime.

Articles like this are what bring me to HN. I could barely read the article but just knowing that exercise enhances the immune response to cancer is enough to save lives. Maybe even mine someday.

I neglected to give a shout out to Jamie Oliver who might actually be responsible for the school food revolution in both the UK and the US https://www.publicschoolreview.com/blog/jamie-oliver-is-his-...

I applaud the intent but the devil dwells in the details. I keep up with the latest nutritional gurus in the US and UK and even staunch advocates of abstaining from Ultra Processed Food (UPF) self-admit to having a very hard time defining

Appreciate the informative replies and citations. So, I'm a bit of a n00b in such matters so will politely ask how this situation (how to get ill-gotten artifacts of great anthropological value back into the public domain) typically g

Unclear as to the intent of the word "Heist" in the title. Seems they are paying top dollar if not more for collections sometimes not even authenticating them. As long as they make everything available to the public and to resear

Nirsoft is timeless. Been using it for decades (although not lately). Volumemouse is as good today as it was in 2000. And highly as I regard Mark Russinovich (SysInternals), Nirsoft was way ahead of him.

This is very interesting. I do wonder what process drives the bamboo to form a node. So it's basically a pipe growing on its merry way then slams on the brake and by some means grows a disk 90° to the direction it was growing before
