The most important part is that it was a test specifically for Courier New. That cannot be extrapolated to all other fonts. The author's claim that the benefits "should" carry over was not actually tested, and should have bee

I had an English teacher that made us do it in the early 2000s. I think its because she learned on the actual typewriter. It never stuck though. We all just went through and added the extra spaces at the end.

Waze is definitely more aggressive about its neighborhood routing. Though they could be using the same underlying code somewhere, its definitely tuned differently. The main integration point into Google Maps is the accident reporting and ac

Yeah, definitely this. Depending on security as well, dropping something off at the car is fine, but getting inside the building would not work at a lot of places.

Really need a way to import at least a csv of historical data. I know its pitch is tracking manually makes you more aware, but let me bring in history to start at least. Then we get more use out of it right away. I have years upon years of

I was thinking the same sort of thing. I was also trying to see what sort of limits are on https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/accounts-and-users/mut... in order to automate reporting them. But at what poin

Would this also violate the terms of services to create an issue automatically, to explain what is broken. And include a link in the issue text to automatically create a PR via the bot? Then it would be an opt-in situation. Or is it just fr

I would assume its the standard 3 to 6 years for auditing, but for something as crazy as hundreds of thousands of tickets, might be worth keeping around longer.

It is worth noting the SLA only applies to the Plus and Enterprise levels, so it would $12.50 / user. Still only 12.5 cents per 0.01% downtime per user. Doesn't really change your point though.

That was the same reason I ended up doing it, as a test of myself. And I was curious what was out there. I definitely enjoyed the process.

I do appear to have misinterpreted what your point was. Sorry about that. Although I assume the idea was limiting how much is cached at any point on their part. Not sure it really matters though its not that much data.

The breach data isn't updated that often. It was 6 months between v1 and v2, so a long cache is totally fine. And then invalidate the cache if there is an update.

There are 3 distinct blog posts about the data, and how it is enabled. All of which are interesting and relevant in different ways. I don't see any issue with them all showing up.

Waze, does have an option to avoid dirt roads, it works great when you have random dirt (pot hole filled) road as an alternate route to work that you never want to take at least. It is for some reason hidden in the settings, and not enable

I have no opinion on Apple Maps, as I haven't owned an iPhone since before it was available. However this, anecdotally, is definitely not my experience with Waze. Unless an accident happens (or additional traffic for some other random

That actually seems like quite a reasonable assumption. Knowing the normal speeds on the roads in my area, vs the speed limits, the difference in time between Google and Waze predictions seem to support that.

I imagine it has something to do with sparse tracking. The final ascent / decent is I think the better part of an entire day. You can't have full high accuracy GPS on for that long and have the battery last. So you may put the dev

I believe you are addressing #8 on the link. This only applies to high income earners. So if you are under those thresholds you don't need to pay any additional employees.
