As usual: If you can't measure what's important you declare important what you can measure. That wouldn't be so destructive if management at least was aware of that problem. But they aren't. They'll have their repor

You are responding to an imaginary comment - not to mine. I don't argue with "honor" for example. I'm also not arguing that we should establish a society based on strength ...

Your comment is of course facetious. Nonetheless I'd like to express that most interpretations of honor are of the perverted kind. This is especially true for professional criminals.

I'm not in favour of revenge. But I find it irritating how rarely people resort to it. For example if I was a father and somebody killed and raped my daughter. I'd like to think of myself as someone who'll kill that person if

Well, obviously "education" is already a political term and will be defined as required. The way I mean education is in a holistic sense. Education is about learning to learn, learning to think for yourself, learning about history

Restricting free speech to prevent violence is like trying to keep boiling water in a pot from bubbling over by pressing a lid on it. Will work for a while but speech like the bubbles of boiling water is usually just a symptom of an underly

In Germany we have a couple of politicians and scientists who every fortnight predict mayhem in a fortnight. No mayhem ever materialized though. We didn't have any actual Triages, ICUs are not overwhelmed. And this seems to be true for
