Too bad you have to be in the bay area. My son and I have been working on a system that captures, stores, filters water and the whole thing is powered by solar. Already did a small working prototype and are now working on a bigger one. Can&

Wow Go has really gained traction. Coming from a Python, PHP, JavaScript background I have been contemplating learning Go or Elixir this year. I am drawn to Elixir because of the functional approach which is different than what I am used to

I am sorry for your loss. I can totally relate to this. I lost my mom to cancer when I was 19. Long, slow, painful death that myself and my 7 other siblings had to witness. It took years to get over the trauma and I am certain some of my yo

Don't get me wrong, I think IndieHackers is cool and enjoy reading these stories but I also think people who are running very profitable SaaS businesses may be hesitant on doing an IndieHackers interview. We don't think of our pro

Problem is they want senior developers but only want to pay junior developer wages. There is a flood of junior developers out there that can't get jobs. These companies don't want them though. They want senior developers who don&#

There is no talent shortage but there is a willing to pay decent wages shortage. This entire article stinks of exactly that.

That stood out to me too. Not great at this stage but if they can continue to grow it, I suppose the pay will increase too. They started 2 years ago though. 17k in 2 years for 6 people is pretty low imo unless they are very part time.

I feel the same way. We bought an echo for the kids a month ago. It wore off within a week. They now really only use it occasionally for music. I could be partly to blame for that though because I don't like that fact that every thing

I experienced this too with my daughter. She had colic so we got very little sleep for 3 months straight. I thought I was going crazy due to hallucinations and paranoia. All that went away when I was able to get at least 6 hours straight sl

This is really honest and I commend you for saying it. I think too many people don't think about all of the things that are involved before jumping into starting a company. I sure didn't. It is not as sexy as the tech blogs, gurus

This is really good advice. A lot of Agency hire freelancers when they get an overflow of projects. It is easier for them vs. having to hire captive employees and then potentially have to let them go if the projects don't last long-ter

Exactly! The article starts off trying to sell you on $12/hr. You can make $12/hr at much easier, less demanding jobs. They try and hold that carrot over your head of eventually making $70k, but even that isn't all that great

This is not Amazon's fault. This instead is the choice of the worker. He is choosing to work for Amazon and is choosing to sleep in a tent because he does not want to make the long commute back to his house. All his choices, not Amazon

Glad that SDES internally are upset but the damage has already been done. Amazon is becoming a place where serious tech talent will not work. No senior or serious talent in their right mind would go through this, so you are going to end up
