Key point here: Fashion startup. I'm not trying to argue that women never dress like that anywhere else, but I think you've got a very skewed viewpoint.

I think there would have been a significantly smaller chance of rejection had they gone for the profile picture on the engineer's toptal page, not the "professionally" done headshot.

You get theese when the instruments in a section of an orchestra or band are out of tune. It's a very good "lazy" way of checking to see who's out of tune if you don't have perfect pitch.

Ditto. A common problem for me is starting a project, then becoming scared that I'll be inadequate, and not complete it properly. This causes me to give up on the project, and I lose out on any experience I might have got. Because I&#x

I hear this a lot, but I've never seen actual evidence of it. Everyone who started early that I've seen in computer science classes has been better than people who started later.

The problem isn't the blocking - I'd be happy for Cameron to enforce blocking at the personal router level. The problem for me is that it's at the ISP level. It requires deep packet inspection, and starts a slippery slope to

No, you can download a .deb file from somewhere else and install it manually, or even just a .tar.gz with the binaries, or (if the software is open source) even get the source! Alternatively, as I posted above, there are a load of mirrors (

I find 54 particularly interesting, a site with detailed overviews of different stacks, along with instructions, or links to instructions on how to get started would be very valuable.

Imho, the main problem with this is people gaining the accounts, then using them to reset account passwords for services that are not dormant. For example, I use a @msn.com password for my facebook - I haven't used that email address i

C is simple like the game Go is simple. Both are defined by (comparatively) simple rules, yet the possible situations that both present are far more complex than languages or games defined by far more complex rules.

The problem, and what bandushrew is saying, is that purposes can be flexible. Once a system or method is legitimised, legalised or even routinely used it can be repurposed for other means. That's the true message of the OP's post
