As a developer who has starting writing a lot of API documentation, this seems like an interesting conference to me. Great idea.

This is a hell of a tutorial. It must have taken ages to write. I need to re-do my blog to be responsive so I've bookmarked this for later. Thanks for the Swiftype shout out, too!

How about scaling that ES server to 100,000+ queries a day? ;-) We support a few og tags as well, but our goal is ultimately to be able to make very flexible search engines without code, so the person managing (say) the help section of a we

I thought it was unfair you were being downvoted, I counteracted that. It more accurate to push data (and many of our customers do) but most people with web sites are not able to do that. We are working on making our crawler as fast as poss

For developers, we have an API ( http://swiftype.com/documentation/quickstart ) that is not much different than setting up Solr or ElasticSearch. However, you no longer need to manage the search servers. We handle reliablity and scaling. On

I believe Ryan Bates has said 1 hour per minute. If anything, that's an understatement. Maybe it gets easier as you do more (this is my second screencast).

I'm really proud of this release. I'm happy to answer any questions about it. If anyone has any doubts about how hard Geoffrey Grosenbach or Ryan Bates work on their screencasts, put them to rest. Those things take _forever_ to make!

I miss the whimsical nature of the previous status page (it seemed to fit with GitHub's "voice" better). But I'm guessing this version isn't going to crash when GitHub does ( https://github.com/blog/1261-github-availability-this-week ). Hop

It's pretty simple really. The search analytics show us queries that had no results, which lets us know what we aren't covering in our documentation.

This is a great use of search analytics. At Swiftype, we're using the feature to improve our own developer documentation.

The developers of this are friends of mine so I got to play around with it a little last month. Though I'm not an Android developer, I can see how useful it would be for testing mobile web sites. You can launch an emulator in many different

I was curious AFBER because of the Russian Empire thing. It is indeed the association of holders of Tsarist Russian bonds. They are trying to get paid back two successor governments and 100 years later.

Another app worth checking out is Divvy. It can easily resize windows to a selected number of rectangles on your screen. I use it to keep my text editor at exactly 1/2 my screen and arrange my Terminal windows.

Prateek, I've emailed some details to your suppport email. I would definitely love to import our existing support emails. As I mentioned, only Desk.com supports this, and not particularly well.

I'm evaluating support software right now, so this is well timed. I've tried Zendesk, Desk.com, and just tried out SupportBee. So far, SupportBee is winning on HTML email integration. Zendesk doesn't support it at all (and it's a long stand

I didn't realize GitHub had abandoned Resque. What are they using now? Or is it in "works for me" status and they don't feel like changing it?

That would be awesome. In a game with such a big scope it would be nice if you didn't have to micromanage every unit.

At Throne of JS last weekend, Meteor stole the show in my opinion. The other frameworks (Backbone, Ember, Angular, etc) were about how to build rich JavaScript web apps on top of current backend technology, whereas Meteor is envisioning som
