At least the US had a small housing crash in 09/10, most of the rest of the world hasn't seen that so its been 3 decades of non-stop boom. It has to add badly. I thought the baby boomers retiring would cause a lot of downsizing bu

Just do the 8-11 upgrade first. The XML part has a lot of life left in it, still lots of advantages over attributes.

Notepad changed 3 years ago so now this isn't a problem. Git should default everything to LF. https://devblogs.microsoft.com/commandline/extended-eol-in-n...

I never understood why blue light is supposed to be a problem. Surely on a sunny day with blue sky there is a lot of blue light?

You dont think regular seeing other people in your school is enough of a cesspool. I can't think of much we can do about it except perhaps get all teenage girls to wear Burkas.

OK this is the case about whether he committed sexual assault in Sweden - which may be exaggerated or fake is just to extradite him to the US. There is no doubt that he really is guilty of leaking US secrets.

I love the idea of hydrogen, batteries seem toxic to me, to be able to crack water and then burn it later (or use in a fuel cell) seems much more natural. One thing though if released Hydrogen will escape the earth's atmosphere right?

That might be true in some countries, but in the USA it goes to the military, farmers to make GMO soya beans & corn syrup, and other random corporations.

Tourists aren't that welcome anymore. Tourists do things during the day, they dont sit behind a laptop all the time. They spend a lot of money each day then go home after a week or two.

Is there any location that likes having nomads living with them? They aren't part of the community, they dont pay taxes, they usually get paid a lot more than the locals but dont spend it locally. Dont get me started on van-life nomads

I dont understand why this is so big though. Surely few people own tether long term. Ie you use it to buy crypto, not sell your crypto and hold thether. I can imagine traders buy and sell a lot but that wouldn't add to tens of billions

Soda isn't really subsidized. Yes corn is subsidized but the main cost of soda is advertising, packaging and distribution, the flavor and syrup (or in the case the sweetener) costs nothing.

My advice now to family is not to rely on anything - assume you'll lose everything and dont worry about it. Concentrate on a few things that actually matter - like photos. Buy an external drive and copy all the photos to the drive. Buy
