Am I the only one who thinks people are overreacting? Seems like the whole Internet is on fire over a game, even HN is infected. Servers had a little trouble, but what I'm hearing it's stable now. So why not just wait or buy the game a few

Just report and it surely will get fixed. No need to call it out as "embarrassing". Especially not as an Software Developer yourself, like you never had any stupid bugs in your code, right?

After thinking a little bit about it, I think this approach does make some sense and allows for more flexibility in the future. Keep in mind Lightning was likely designed to last well over a decade and will be used in many different devices

Anymore Info on this? Like what's the scope of the vulnerability and what routers are affected. Don't really want to turn of UPnP, would be a pain.

Wow, Microsoft definitely deserves some kind of award for this. Shipping a tablet, with own hardware design no less, with a 41GB OS is certainly an achievement not every company can accomplish. (sorry I'm just baffled how you can fill up 41

Ah my favorite topic, ok here we go: I disagree. Apple fans are the absolute worst. Not want to offend anyone here, but there's a certain type of delusional Apple fans, also known as members of the Apple Cult. The member strongly believes,

Was there ever an actual statement from Valve on this? All I see is a company called Xi3 showing of their computer, while making some vague remarks about having received an investment from Valve - whatever that means. Not to doubt it, but i

You need a power source though once in a while. If you're a college student who walks around the campus all day, working on small desks and park benches I'd get an Air. For everything else, like working around the house or office, definitel

Because 64 KB of RAM should be enough for everybody, right? Common, just because phones seem fast enough for everything right now, there's always the next killer app lurking around the corner waiting for a little increase in performance to

Is it still that way? I quit developing for BB 2 years ago, and at that time the tools were indeed horrible compared to what Android and iOS had to work with. But I know some friends still working in the BB field, and they told me the BB10

heh also claiming while this app is good, Android's version is of course not. Because it's not Google-y, like Google's iOS apps. It's too sterile - Android must be made by some kind of subsidiary, that has nothing to do with the Google, tha

Because the demand for HiDPI desktop displays isn't there yet. You would buy one, and so would I, but overall they wouldn't sell much, compared to the standard 1080p panels. We have to wait another year until Apple introduces Retina iMacs,

Is this some kind of job security on NASA's part? The unspoken goal of these mars missions has always been to find life, so why not make sure the rover has every possible piece of equipment to do so. Unless they want to send another one. Th

It's really bad practice. We all want to get stuff done, but don't complain when you end up in spagethi code hell. Some people are going to see that and think that's an ingenious use of comments, and then start to do the same in everything

Some insecure apps and services use the UDID as a way to identify users. For example you can get some profile data from OpenFeint with the UDID. There are probably a ton of other small things like this, but overall I wouldn't worry too much
