> they're uniformly boring in every conceivable way This is such concise and brutally accurate way to sum it up, I salute you for this brilliant description. I could not agree more, such a spot-on assertion!

What I'm trying to get for an answer is straight percentages, because there's always this latent hate towards founders or bosses so I'm trying to see what would be fair in the scenario I presented. The "boss bad, worker

That's what I'm asking. What does the "scaling" guy get? What's the fair distribution of wealth? I'm not placing any value on "scaling", I'm asking what it should be valued at. > Who wrote the

What if I'm a founder who's also a developer, I have the idea, customer base and I've done ~80% of the code of the product but I need help with deploying and scaling the product. How much of the profit do I share with the emp

What happens when you feed someone who grows up to be "evil" and creates a corporation like Facebook? It's anecdotal, I'm agreeing with your last point - humanity is brutish, it's easier to exit the Matrix and to se

> Why is HN always so damn against developers facing their hubris, or mistakes, or consequences for their actions? Because it's clear what will happen. Software he supports will die off. And because we can empathize.

I love it how you pretend to be helpful only to turn out spiteful. Are you even aware of what we're discussing here or are you just trying to take out frustration online?

My bad, then the dog kicker gets to live in the economy of 2022. using the reimbursements from 1995. Still a lovely display of empathy and entitlement from people who blindly refuse to acknowledge that the person who created mIRC is human.

That sounds like quitting before even trying. If I were you, I'd first exhaust every possible option I have at my disposal to become better before calling it quits. You might have ADHD but you can also adjust to it and work around it.

You can't "create" 10x engineer. You either have work ethic or you don't. If you have the work ethic, if you're disciplined, if you genuinely enjoy programming and the feature/software you work on - then you ha

Insulting? It's true. It's not an insult. You're using mental gymnastics right now to make your point. 3500 people employed in a company that has no oversight of what they do, which is capable of getting huge investment and w

I don't really care about Twitter as whole, it's a bad company from any aspect. It was unprofitable before Musk and it would go bankrupt. I don't really care what he'll do with it, if he'll delete it in the end or n

At best, you skimmed it and then posted a useless reply that you couldn't even justify. Zero contribution to anything, but hey - I gave you a bit of that attention that you used in a negative way. You didn't understand a thing.
