I've made a lot of Home Depot purchases in the last month (yay, new credit cards for me!), and I don't recall ever being asked for an email address either by a cashier or the self-check kiosk. Maybe it's just my local stores

When will banks actually start issuing chip + pin cards in the US? It doesn't help US consumers much if the retailers accept them, but the banks don't issue them. I have credit cards with four banks (probably the biggest 4 in the

I have custom ordered a car through a dealership (not a Tesla). I'm pretty sure any dealership will do it. It's pretty standard. And they didn't charge me any more than I would have paid for something off the lot (I was able

Virtually all of my bills except my mortgage are automatically charged to credit cards. This means that every time my card gets compromised and replaced by the bank, I have to go update it 20+ places. And there are always the odd ones that

I greatly appreciate that you let me go through the whole interview without giving any personal information other than property address. It would be even nicer if I didn't have to give that. Would a zip code be sufficient?

I don't know if that kind of contact works, but I have gotten a very well-paying full-time, full-benefits job through LinkedIn. I hate their spamming practices, but I do find the site useful.

This is pretty cool. It seems like the search doesn't work that well for me, though. I first typed in "San Diego, CA" and got "no results matched." Only then did I realize that if I type "San Diego" and wa

I can't speak to their Android app, but as a customer, I've always been very satisfied with OpenTable. To the degree that I'm now annoyed if I want to get a reservation at a restaurant that doesn't support it. I believe

I learned to program (BASIC, of course) on an Apple IIe. I was in elementary school. One of my classmates' moms was a professional computer programmer, and came in to teach us all to program. I can't imagine how different my life

It seems like "just pick something arbitrary and everyone agree on it" is a better solution than "find a small simple icon that effectively evokes 'share' to a brand new user." In other words, this is confusing

As I described in my other comment, Redfin is a completely different beast than Zillow and Trulia, because they are an actual real estate brokerage. That gives them direct MLS access rather than having to scrape as the other sites do. [I ha

Redfin is an actual real estate brokerage, and are therefore real members of the MLS, with access to the data that provides. The others are simply scraping via publicly available data. This is a major difference.

Can you recommend a good document explaining all the features? The main package doc on golang.org seems to not really go into stuff like conditionals, loops, etc. which I gather are possible.

It seems not much less secure than a system that lets you reset your password simply by clicking a link in an email (which is to say, most password-based systems on the web). Either way, once you have access to the email account, you can au
