I agree with bronson about the uniformity of the blur. Also, the amount of blurring doesn't change enough as the distance changes. It's better than previous techniques that have just blurred the entire background the same amount,

It doesn't give me a headache, but to my eyes it isn't remotely convincing. There's no way I'd look at any of those example pictures and not realize the blurring was done with postprocessing.

Selling your car has hugely less impact on your life than having to move. It's not just an "emotional bond" with a house. It's your commute. Your kids' schools. Your friends. Your daily shopping routines. The cost a

I have previously worked with MarkMonitor. One big factor is that at the time I had a single dedicated person who oversaw our domains. I knew him and his manager, and they knew me. Everything related to our domains went through them. It

Seven plus years ago I was investigating phishing scams that were, in real time, taking the username and password, trying it against the real server, and then prompting the user accordingly (in that case, kicking them back if they entered t

Did you find your Facebook ads profitable? We've experimented with them a lot, and have never been able to get a reasonable return on them. However, our goal has been driving actual sales of a product, not just getting Likes (as many a

PHPMyAdmin is too low-level for what I'd want. For myself, it's fine, but I can't just hand it over to users for querying, updating, adding records, etc. With Access or Filemaker it's easy to set up something that I can
