> and now cash is dead Maybe it is in your little corner of the first world, but this certainly isn't true for most of the world. Plenty of people are still using cash and it isn't going away anytime soon.

Oh my bad then. I don't know why I though it was a Cordova app. Might have been because our last chat provider had one and I was mixing them up. My problem with search is that it doesn't find URLs. I think it was reported already,

I love Zulip. I really wish other IM clients implemented functionality similar to Zulip's threading. It allows for easily filtering converstations and makes reading history that much easier. That said, what Zulip lacks right now is pol

I've met women who are similar to what you describe. Mostly religious women who were really into church from their childhood. Some were even in CS. The ones I met weren't really asexual. More like, they simply don't feel comf

It's pretty odd that a man would lie about being a virgin, but I suppose that's the western perspective.

If the user isn't looking at the URLs then no way a joke like this is going to change heir habits. If anything, they might notice when it's pointed out and they might consider looking at the URLs in the future, though unlikely, as

The URL doesn't say 'hacker news' though. There is a site with that in the name (thehackernews), but the URL for this site is fairly tame.

Do you have actual documentation proving that men in these fields earn more than their female peers in same job function working the same hours?

EVEN the Chinese government? You say that like they're in business of scamming people. And honestly reading the original Chinese articles it doesn't look like an official government position or anything. It's just a newspape

Merkel said a lot of things, and yet they already dropped their climate goals for 2020 and they can't seem to get rid of their coal dependency. Words mean nothing without the action to back them up.

Nevermind, I made a mistake and tested it on a repo where ---all would have little noticeable effect. It is indeed disabled by default. That said, custom source edits are entirely possible. Canonical does keep their own repositories after

I used to love sourcetree, but after the redesign the whole thing became so slow I just went back to using CLI tools. Maybe it's for the better, as I can be way more flexible this way.

I'm not sure Plex would be a good option for sharing stuff with others. And on that note how many people actually have static IPs these days that allows them to easily host services like that? As the IP shortage worsens expect more ca

Self-censoring is in no way 'a higher level of discourse'. Not using curse words is one thing, but in some situation (esp. like this where a direct quote is used) there is no real reason to censor swear words in an adult conversat

You could achieve something like this with tags - https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/ci/yaml/#tags . Though you will need to define each machine individually in the CI file.

The test file seems fun, but overall it's not that bad. Bash is a fairly simple to parse syntax-wise, so as long as you know your coreutils and you know what you're looking for, making simple changes is fairly easy.
