I wouldn't even say 'like', it's just that I don't see a big enough advantage to switch. I built up enough muscle memory over the years and while helix might be slightly better (I don't actually know how much b

It does just work for some workflows. I think that's really what it boils down to. It is production ready for some people, but it's clearly not for you yet. Maybe that will change.

Even if you think that should be a crime, why should that apply to the funeral of a representative or government official? People should be able to show their distaste of such a public figure however they want, even if it makes you feel wei

Okay but our democracy is actually barely functional. It's not relevant to the above conversation but it is a true statement.

It's a cult. I think it would be more akin to a large portion of American lawmakers being ties with Scientology.

It looks like difftastic can support way more languages. I haven't used semantic merge (or even heard about it before this) so idk if its language support is somehow better though.

I've recently come to appreciate server rendering for its simplicity, at least for the tasks it is suited for. But I know what you mean. As a user, it's better to have local apps doing the real work.

I agree with this (except for the bit about C++ but that's neither here nor there) but what I landed on was that maybe a native look isn't as important as I thought. Some of the nicest apps I've used just have their own look.

Why would anyone actively work towards "ubiquitous electronics"? That sounds like a nightmare.

You're right, but unfortunately that's not the world we live in. Those text based browsers don't work for a lot of websites.

I think another big advantage would be battery life. Firefox drains my laptops battery, and even though safari is more efficient, it's still really bad for battery life if you have a bunch of tabs open. Something like this would help w

I think you're reading too much into that quote. I think they just meant that they acknowledge that there are benefits to sun exposure but in his opinion it's not worth the risk of getting skin cancer. Even if turns out to be misg

Well then I'm out of luck because I don't know of a GPU that can power a thunderbolt display unfortunately

Long shot but can this power two lg 5k displays? I'm guessing it can at least power one since it has thunderbolt 4 but I think it depends on how many "lanes" are available right?

Interesting! Do you have any plans to open support for LSPs? I do see the appeal to having a totally curated list of LSPs you don't have to worry about, but if someone buys into this editor, it might be nice to be able to extend it wit

I use a similar tool in a browser all the time, so I definitely have a need for this tool, and this is much better than a browser tool. Thank you for this effort!

I think it's safe to ignore any advice that sounds like "successful people do/don't do ..." Advice like that will always contradict itself since successful people are not all the same.
