This is just as poor of an attitude as the people who only care about the degree. Like anything else a potential employee has done, a degree (especially from a good school) adds something that you can't capture using any other metric.

In the email from the NLP course, they said that all classes were being pushed back for reasons out of their control, and the delay could be anywhere from a couple weeks to several weeks. Too bad, I really needed the class in the first hal

I don't actually watch TV very often, and don't have it at home, but over the holidays I saw this feature at someone's house. I think it was DirectTV/Dish, and during a commercial for some TBS(?) show, it prompted you to press some button

This is a horrifying thought. The west coast drivers in Colorado are absolutely horrid, I guess it's a good thing we don't have many New Yorkers then ;).

Yes, see the Cayley-Hamilton Theorem[1], which changes matrix powering into the powering of scalers in the characteristic polynomial. -- [1] - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cayley%E2%80%93Hamilton_theorem

I can't really speak to performance (I don't have any large projects where I could tell a difference), but the install is painless, and the windows git shell is really nice.

Thanks. All the answers have been helpful, this one is perhaps the most pragmatic. I've signed as well, I suppose it wouldn't really matter in any case, as if the US was headed down that path I think I'd just jump ship.

This is an honest question that I realize will seem very tin-foil hatty, but I can't seem to brush it off. Does anyone ever worry that doing something like this (supplying your name, email, etc.) will come back to bite you later? Say, in 1

I agree with your naming gripe, but beyond that it sounds like you personally just like iOS. Different people have different opinions of what phone has really "made" Android. If the Nexus One took the place of the iPhone, I guarantee ther

I'm naive when it comes to anything related to VC's and funding, but I'm pretty sure if I had a ton of money to invest, it wouldn't be anywhere near someone like that. Even after reading the article, I don't think I fully understand why he
