Super weird phrasing, particularly since Rust's type safety is far more sophisticated than Go's.

You are correct about (1), but "citation needed" for (2). Psychedelic therapies are most definitely not based on hype -- there's real research being conducted by real doctors, and it's only becoming more prevalent. [1]

Because every single handler in a long chain of requests will have to explicitly support and propagate this data. The whole idea of a request context is to let you plumb low-cost metadata transparently through a call tree, and decouple your

Feels like you're missing the spirit of the article. Nobody's advocating it as a git replacement -- the author is just posting thoughts about something they built.

That's not what they're saying. At the lower and mid levels, there are far more ICs than managers. At the top levels, there are more managers than ICs (at each level.) This is the case in most major tech companies I've seen.

So how does one find high quality games on mobile? There's so much crap out there on the Play store, it's really hard to pick games. I don't care much about the genre or the price, I just want to play some high quality, low b

I don't think they're arguing that exceptions are better, just that `try` (in Zig) or `?` (in Rust) is nicer than `if err != nil { ... }`. It's the one thing about go that I really wish had better ergonomics.

Totally not true. My Shopify offer was slightly higher than my Google offer (as a re-hire), both base + stocks, about 3 years ago. However, going with Google really paid off because of the stock performance.
