Not that I'm familiar with. I know various sports were big in Ancient Greece, but I couldn't say if they were seen as a 'diversion' from a cultural standpoint.

I am still a beginner programmer myself, but I do have a couple small projects under my belt. If you happen to have an office job, I would recommend trying to automate anything you do that involves copying information from one source to ano

I don't have a direct answer to your question, but it piqued my curiosity so I did a quick search. I found this informative little post: https://security.stackexchange.com/questions/154343/can-a-sp...

I work in customer service at a medium sized food company. We have a no questions asked guarantee. I'm somewhat torn on the money-back guarantee philosophy. I hear people say that it ends up being profitable at the end of the day. But,

Yeah it stands in stark contrast to the pay-to-win model a lot of games are incorporating nowadays. I also really love how all the new updates/maps/characters have been completely free.

Huh I haven't noticed that myself. I'm using it on OSX. The dude who runs it is pretty personable. You should mention it to him if you find the time.

Speaking of Facebook alternatives, I discovered a neat app not too long ago called Aether. It's like a decentralized P2P reddit. The community is fairly small but the app itself is really amazing, and I think was made entirely by one p

You should get your battery replaced before the end of the year! They have been running a special to do that swap for $29. I bought an iPhone 7 used last month and immediately went to an Apple store to have the battery swapped out. Went fro

This seems like great advice. Thank you. I ran into some resistance with doing free weights as well. Luckily there was a powerlifting gym in my area that had just opened up and free weights is about 90% of what they do there. Now I never ha

That sounds great! I wish I could also do that. Although, I do worry a lot about my form, so one advantage to going to a gym is asking the coaches to check mine and make sure it's good. How do you make sure you're lifting properly

Believe it or not, I found a very useful workout program in the comments on HN called Stronglifts 5X5. I kept seeing people talk about how great it was for beginners and I've failed to keep a regular weight lifting regime in the past d

I've had similar experiences in my life as well. Purely anecdotal, but I've found NP's and PA's tend to listen more and just be more personable in general. I sometimes wonder if the extreme hours physicians have to work
