Thanks for this. I agree they do nothing to support the idea that GPT4 isn’t getting worse. They simply criticize a paper that makes the affirmative claim, and explains why it’s difficult to test.

Agreed. MacOS has much stronger security despite Apple not waiting for its users to get pounded by malware. I think it has something to do with basic philosophy - MS supports corporate certified malware. If adobe creative cloud needs a feat

Sounds like a good idea in theory, but when i do imagine it, it seems like it might be a dystopian nightmare of the worst parts of our nature. I think a better idea would be a regulatory environment for tech that - squeezed monopolies and o

Same with my gf. Carplay is a must. She’s a normie but i think a lot of all-in Apple customers feel this way. For millions, there will be no need to even look at GM.

FTLOG yes please this. The best thing about Thunderbird IMO was the dense column view combined with ability to sort a folder by sender, which is for some reason impossible in most other clients. I’ve found it odd not everyone uses it this w

I don’t know exactly where the line is, but it’s actually not so important. Arguments like these miss the more important point. There absolutely is a line somewhere. Why? Because SCALE MATTERS. Always. This is something that is largely miss

If Reddit wanted to make more money they should have invested in search. A few months ago there were many articles about how Google’s search was deteriorating and people had started going to Reddit. They could have easily had a slice of Goo

I don’t understand why there’s not an fdroid-like store for open source chrome extensions. All my most important extensions are open source. I try to find ones that are. But I’m not savvy enough to do checksums and all that so i just trust

Would it fair to say that racism has really largely been about classism? I’ve always thought that if capitalists wanted to make a campaign that would misdirect people’s sense of injustice, that blm and subsequent woke ideology would make th

I agree that fundamentalism is good descriptor of the problem. A lot of comments replies arguing about the meaning of the word. To me fundamentalism means this. Where you fall on a certain issue defines a set of values. Fundamentalists are
