Sure apologies for linking a preprint. The study I linked earlier went on to be published in Lancet which is a super top tier medical journal. Here is the link: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article

It won't let me reply to this "criticalthinker" guy anymore, but I will post this for anyone looking at this before they get sucked into these purposeful lies. Just go read what he linked me to supposedly support his argument

We get flu shots to reduce the incidence of the flu in the population so that we don't kill a bunch of old people a decade too early. You're purposefully ignoring a piece of the "critical thinking" so that you can be ant

Last medical paper I read was using a cohort of 20,000 people. This paper concluded that natural covid immunity doesn't last forever. Median time to reinfection was 160+ days. Is there new research or something? I keep seeing people ta

We pretty much can play with vaccines forever. Every healthy responsible person gets a flu shot every single fall, we already do this and no one complains about the long term flu plan. You might be allowing the current discourse to knock yo

Those aren't equivalent. Preventing obesity is *very* hard, or we wouldn't have obese people. Who actually WANTS to be obese? Preventing your ICU trip due to covid is as easy as driving to the pharmacy once or twice and spending 2

I agree. If you can't afford to pay wages people will accept, then you don't have a viable business.

Your overall point might be correct, but your old people one is just wrong. Old people aren't super muscular because you need high levels of testosterone to support musculature, and it naturally declines with age and particularly tanks

100%. If you look at productivity weekly instead of daily it always pays to have deload time daily, eat correctly, sleep 8 hrs, and get a workout in on a regular basis!

Could you give me some productivity tips? I would love to become better at managing my time. I seem to always be able to fill my 40 hours and still feel like I didn't accomplish enough. I'm a SWE working on a small team.

I think that instead of framing it as fairness--which seems to agitate those who were born with monetary advantages, this conversation should be re-framed to focus on societal efficiency. It is inefficient to shoehorn people to the top beca
