Right. We now have two world class compilers, gcc and clang, which both track the standard closely and this has forced Microsoft to improve their compliance as well. It is a golden age for C++ right now.

What bullshit. Gender equality is basically becoming code for "man really should act more like women". Well fuck that.

Absolutely. Pichai had an opportunity to make Google stand out of the current insane PC mindset, as perhaps the Google of 15 years ago would, and instead chose to collaborate with the orthodoxy. So much for using data to evaluate ideas. Wha

Exactly. I am a parent and even though rationally I want my kid to be independent and I know the world is fairly safe, the media has made me terrified at the prospect of letting my kid interact with strangers unsupervised. I just cannot sha

Fantastic, a whole post with useful advice from minority founders and no mention of their (supposedly) disadvantage status. We need more of this and less of the bullshit about how badly minorities have it in SV.

Why is IQ irrelevant? It certainly helps when trying to understand complex systems. And the gentleman's accomplishments are consistent with high IQ so at least to me it does not sound like hollow bragging. More like making it plain tha

I am sorry, foisted? Most women have a much higher nurturing instinct and most men have a much higher competitive instinct. Just observe little kids at play for a while. Biology is what it is regardless of the zeitgeist.

Assholes, the self righteous, plain evil, or simply stupid kind, are a minority but they have a tremendous impact in any community which does punish or prevent bad behavior. This is why we have to have door locks, police, jails, passwords, e

Yes, of course. But the difference is that Ronda would also decisively win a street fight with Maywheater - something that women are not supposed to be able to do and hence worth noting (and wonderful to see if it ever happened).
