What makes you think that? What do you think "cashing in" entails, and what do you think prevents the Trump family from doing it now? Also, how would he and his family stay out of jail if they can no longer control the judiciary a

The actual advantage of Podman and Buildah is that it is not Docker. Because of the tribal nature of tech communities, that is a desirable property for members of the "anti-Docker" tribe. Everything else is an exercise in retroact

Crossplane is open-source. You're moving the goal posts on what is "real open-source" in a way that is not reasonable. Do you also consider Gitlab or Red Hat products to be "not real open-source"? Because they are a

I keep hearing this meme that Kubernetes made it hard for Docker to monetize Swarm. But as far as I can tell, Swarm is free and open-source. Docker has never actually charged money for it. What am I missing?

Anecdotically, I develop inside a container using Docker for Mac, and don't have any performance issues. I think it depends on what exactlty you're developing, in particular filesystem access patterns.

I think you defined perfectly the defining problem of this generation in the US: nepotism. It is the root cause of so many structural problems that we see as unrelated. In particular the failure of the press to do their job and hold the pow

Docker started it. Kubernetes was built around Docker so used the same language. Terraform came later.

You are correct that state is hard to manage, and consequently, the less state you have to manage, the better. The developers of Terraform and Pulumi know this, but chose to make their tools stateful anyway. That's because if they were
