We built a killer product, that was ready for prime time, but unfortunately didn't end up selling to anyone. I'd be curious to hear your definition of a killer product. Personal a killer product to me is one that sells though I understand

If you are getting 1 meeting from 50 emails and you're not even trying to sell something, you are doing something wrong. I have to think that cold calls convert better than emails. That’s probably the real answer here. Get on the phone and

It's up to the owner not to be an idiot Actually no, the common wisdom is that you should expect your users to be idiots when developing a product.

Remember, Jim is the comedian. He's probably not looking to hire comedians like him to run what's in his mind a bunch of geeky shit. So yeah, being lighthearted is okay, but not at the expense of losing your cred as someone serious.

Appreciate your answer. Parts of your post make it seem like you have next to nothing to do with this; while other parts make it seem like you do have responsibility for this. Also, it is not our company and operates completely indepen

Can you elaborate on what you mean when you state that chat.youporn was operated by another entity? So you guys cut a deal with another entity to let em "rent" the subdomain chat.youporn? Just intrigued by how this works.

I thought this was about twitter moving away from hashtags. For some reason I got a bit excited, may be because I find vast majority of hashtags to be annoying noise. That said, I know they serve a purpose in specific use cases and donno a

The thing about people like Jobs is that their definition of "ignoring" still means that they put more thought and effort into thinking about profit than your typical founder who is obsessed about profits. They simply operate at a differe

Paula asked us a simple question, “your name is Windows. Why are you a flag?” I have never really asked myself that question as a consumer. I have never felt "confused" that the logo is NOT a window. I have just generally liked Windows, t

I have to agree here. A major problem with client-side json is the need for additional documentation and likelihood of things breaking because of simple html edits. For example, if you are populating a bunch of divs inside a parent div with

The reason there is no SaaS fatigue is that $117/month is still chump change for most companies or even angel funded startups. So yes, if your customer base is made primarily of individuals or nonprofitable or nonfunded businesses then ther
