Lately it almost seems like there's a competition to see who cares the least about children. As though giving any thought to their well being is some kind of unwarranted "won't anyone think of the chidren?!" hysteria. To

Can one just go out and get a job as a trader, with no related (formal) education, experience, contacts, etc?

I try not to use any jargon at all when communicating to non-dev stakeholders, and they still complain about jargon. Words like "server" or "database" are not jargon. There are literally no other words to use for those t

With that schedule, were you able to do much in the way of networking? That's part of the 'college experience', and is often cited as one of the greatest benefits of going to college.

Asians are overrepresented among high achievers. That does not mean that the reason for this is because they are Asian. Anyone who has taken Stats 101 can tell you that. Replace 'genetics' with 'astrological sign' and yo

I'm glad it worked out for you. Didn't for me. Going to college is probably the worst decision I ever made.

And my point is that it doesn't matter. Companies censor stuff all the time. Reddit can censor whatever they want.

That's their prerogative though. They can be capricious if they want, and you're free to not use the service if you don't like it. Reddit is beholden to their shareholders, not their users.

In the past, people getting really mad at ISPs has not changed anything. I don't see any reason to believe that people getting really really REALLY mad is going to change anything either. There's no mechanism for it to.

I didn't say the free market is a problem. I'm not a communist; I like the free market and I agree with your comment. However, like you said, it's not a free market and it won't be for the foreseeable future. Fantasizing

Short answer: it's a Reddit community full of idiots. More relevant answer in this case: it's a term frequently used as a cudgel to shut down conversation. It's a fallacy of association, and thus can be safely ignored. "

100% agree. I hated it. It was expensive, stressful, and unrewarding. My loans won't be paid off until I'm in my mid 40s. I feel like a sucker who fell for a scam. It's objectively the biggest mistake I ever made. I'm su
