+1 and all the plugin authors for writing and maintaining plugins. I find Vim/NeoVim so good for working with JavaScript and Go thanks to it's design and ecosystem.

Never worked in PHP, but I watched this talk, "Let's program like it's 1999", about PHP's influence on JSX and React. I quite enjoyed the talk.

This is a real problem, especially across time zones and people who schedule a lot of meetings. I'd like to add people to a meeting and choose the best time based on free slots on their calendar.

My team's been using Go for the past five years to build an open source test automation framework. None of us knew Go before starting on the project. Five years on, we have no regrets. The language semantics does not get in our way, it

Agree the business model is questionable, but it's a great example of using technology for an essential service.

I don't know how the numbers work. But I also don't think the plan is one page document that can be explained to a 5 year old. Same holds true for universal health care, social housing, subsidies etc etc. They may sound absurd in

Fair point. I wish I could explain, but don't want to try. For the record, I've been knee deep in Agile.

I live in London, it's been four weeks since I last saw a pack of flour on the store shelf. The demand is that high.

IMHO the Agile manifesto still holds good. It applies to arguments in the article around processes (and tools) to ironically fix itself.

I've also seen slow hiring and hiring freezes used by orgs to reduce head count by letting natural attrition take over. IMHO it is better than layoffs.
