Because coding assistants depend on the baselined code they are trained on for their suggestions? I don't believe they offer creative solutions, just a faster way to refer. So it's still the responsibility of developers bring thei

Never seen a broken website on safari. Like others mentioned anything specific?

I'm glad to see someone making this for Chrome. I really like how Safari does it. It can check mail and messages, then delete the message after verifying. One of the reasons why I am finding it difficult to switch from safari.

I set up GitHub to squash and merge commits by default, and to use the pull request title and description as the commit message instead of the individual commit messages. Won't that be helpful here?

Thanks for doing the research. My repo getgauge/taiko (listed on the screenshot) was affected by this. I reported these as phishing attacks as I had no idea what it was about.

I live in London and often notice people wearing Air Jordans. They are quite popular and there's a grey market for limited editions.

I'm following this from the UK. I watched the first episode of "Bates vs Post Office". It's interesting to see that the Horizon system, set up in 1999, was a client-server model with a box in each post office syncing wit

I was a code review skeptic. I changed my view after seeing the impact it's having on my current project. We've prevented a lot of bugs, improved how we communicate and actually trust each other more as a result. Yes, it's sl

We're pretty pleased with using trpc. With trpc-openapi, you can set up REST-like APIs. I like this method because it uses TypeScript and not YAML.

A few years back, I had the opportunity to work on a project in rural India. Our team was responsible for creating a new patient booking system for a community hospital. We designed a web-based application that could be accessed through the

You can enjoy the benefits of both approaches by adopting trunk-based releases. In our experience, we make small pull requests (like short lived feature branches) on GitHub, each focusing on a complete feature or a segment of it. GitHub Act

I like using Tailwind. There's good reference online to help style pages. I usually find what I need, copy it, and it works most of the time. Since I don't know much about UI, Tailwind helps me get the job done.

We turned on squash only merges and use the pull request description as the commit message. GitHub creates a temporary merge branch with the commit where you can run tests before the merge. So in the end it’s just one commit.

We've been using this for a few months to manage pull request merges for our mono repo. It's greatly improved the merge process. It makes trunk based releases faster and reliable. Kudos to the team for adding this feature.

We use pull requests to spin out ephemeral environments and test the changes before merging to trunk. All merges to main is deployed across environments so pull requests help us get faster feedback if something fails. I think pull requests

I like the one assertion per unit test case rule. It makes me design cleaner code and write readable test cases. I also use object equality vs asserting on individual fields.

I use Victor Mono too. I like the compact spacing in this font. It works well when I increase my editor font size when sharing screen with my colleagues.

Have you tried using break out rooms? We've tried grouping people to small groups (even as small as 2) and then regrouping to discuss further. It's not perfect, but does increase participation.
