You have to consider that here in a lot of sud-west EU states 3000e/month allow you to live VERY GOOD even in the main cities. Cost of life here is extremly low compared to that of SV.

I still use PHP for a very simple reason: stable libraries and extremely well done documentation. As a language and general features I prefer by far node.js... but i hate the total lack of decent-level documentation I found over the years.

That's true, but I would also add that in Europe you have a work culture against long work days/week, and it very rare to be asked to work more than 38/40h/w... and if you are asked to typically you are well compensated

I have another (hope not stupid) fundamental question: do we have to give people a different UBI based on their location (aka cost-of-life)? If no, it will be pretty hard to find a right value. If yes, should we also change it as soon as th

Here in Europe the big part of the market is in Java, then C# and then PHP. Even startups here are often using those languages (with some microframework like Spark for Java). The fact that also most universities teaches those helps

Why? The license problem is only related to the oracle java implementation. The OpenJDK implementation has not any related problem, and, honestly, performs already far better than the oracle one (and I think it will improve even faster now

How will affected users get the "new update" if their phone is already broken by the previous? I mean, I hope that, in the case of already broken phone caused by their own update, apple _at_least_ give them a new iphone for free,

I actually don't know why I got some downvotes... in my country I never had a single ISP who blocks torrents, I don't even think is legal for them to check what you are downloading (except if they have a police warrant).
