oh I didn't mean from the technical aspect. I meant socially, how it works. What kind of things your friends post there, how often you go check what's up with them, with type of discussions you have there etc'.

How would you use Firefox Containers in Private Mode? Private Mode is essentially a container that destroys itself when you close it.

I'm not sure . But since the average time for a webpage to load is about 3 seconds[0], I would need to press F5 17,280 times to be refreshing for a whole day. I don't think I have, and even I did, quite a few of these had nothing

Yeah, maybe. But I'm also not counting the times I worked on a hot reload enabled project and I wasn't sure if it actually reloaded or maybe there was an error somewhere that made the whole thing stop working, and so I just manual

How is the productivity benefits from not having to press F5 after I'm updating the code is worth a few days of setting up Webpack? If I sum the time it took me to refresh pages since I started using the internet it doesn't get

This is how the end of e-mail as we know it looks like. Self destructing messages, expired attachments, disabled forwarding. Heck, they took the mail out of the e-mail.

Don't trust it as a security measure though - it's very easy to read the hash data in JS and then submit it to the server.

I don't see how this is relevant in any way. I dislike these messenger ups too and finding them utterly annoying, but it's not an article about usability, UX or user engagement. It's about how men see and treat women online w

Setting up your own email server and sending thousands of emails a day is unfortunately almost a sure way to get into everyone's spam folder.

If by "perfectly fine" you mean highly likely to get into your recipient's spam folder - you're probably right. Having tried to self host my own mail server I can tell you it's never an easy task to actually get you

I wish Python had more templating engines like Jade (now Pug), Slim & HAML. I can't go back to writing HTML anymore. I know about PyJade but it's (and all it's forks) seems always highly unmaintained.

I think the concept of piping is actually more similar to function(function()) than .method().method(), because you're not limited to the scope of your initial object's methods. And the truth is that functionB(functionA()) reads m

That's a false analogy. You can't compare the freedom rights of the oppressed to these of the oppressor. The context in which rights are granted or taken plays a big role here. If it wouldn't, someone on HN would long ago cod
