The bit about plugins not having PMF is interesting and possibly flawed. I, like many others, got access to plugins but not the browsing or code interpreter plugins which feel like the bedrock plugins that make the whole offering useful. I

Just wanted to add I’ve been using the local development and migrations workflow and it has been fantastic. Honestly the only issue I’ve really had is how frustratingly difficult it is to change an id field from int8 to uuid if I mistakenly

I owe Gentoo for making me proficient with linux and the command line, and starting my long passion for programming and building dynamic web apps. I remember compiling my custom build for days on my parent's Gateway PC with a pentium 3

Yea 3.5 is more than good enough for a whole slew of tasks (especially code), and it's ridiculously fast. I rarely find the need to use 4 but certainly if there was a usecase it was significantly better at that mattered to me, I would.

Agreed, the search is actually improved from the last version and I have zero issues with it after daily use since the release. Moving to electron seems to have been a net positive for the whole product. It would have been a mistake to list

I don’t know why the author cringes so much or feels like they made mistakes. You don’t owe Chase anything, it’s on them to earn your business and treat you like the major account you are. We had a similar situation and Chase treated us poo

Here's the site: https://capacitorjs.com/ And yes, Capacitor apps can target all of those platforms from a single codebase. If you ever need help or have questions feel free to reach out to me on twitter (link in bio)!

Cordova has been superseded by Capacitor for several years now. And web tech on mobile is still wildly popular and isn’t going anywhere. Capacitor and Tauri Mobile are still the only platforms that can offer the value prop of bringing new a

I’d take a look at Capacitor. I’m biased because I created it but I think it’s fair to say it’s the leading platform for web tech on mobile at the moment.

I’d recommend stainless for the average cook. Carbon steel requires more maintenance and clearly the general public doesn’t want to do that. Stainless is awesome except perfectly slidey eggs require a bit more effort and that’s the trump ca

This looks very interesting. I still question whether teams need this or React Native when they could just bring their existing React web app to mobile with Capacitor. The benefit to that approach is being able to use React web frameworks l

It’s fascinating to contrast this observation with my own as a parent: other parents seem to have much more richer lives post-kids than after, it just becomes much harder to relate with that part of them if you don’t also have kids, too.

When I saw they were building their own parser I wondered why not use something like antlr? There are a lot of antlr grammars for SQL dialects. But then this is zig and I don’t know if there’s a zig antlr runtime yet.
