After a career in financial advisory space, I became convinced that financial advisory companies are designed to keep you afraid and dependent on their wealth management services. Their ultimate goal is to have you save as much as possible

You seem to be heavily involved in the PWABuilder website. Can you explain why the PWA needs to register a pushManager? I'd like to publish my app without setting up push notifications.

I actually had just read this blog post prior to posting my comment. There's a lot of good insight on HOW to publish but I didn't see any compelling evidence on WHY to publish (specific traffic numbers, etc).

What's the sense in publishing your PWA in the Play Store? Chrome already prompts the user if they'd like to install a PWA shortcut when you visit the site. I ask because it costs $25 and while I have a lot of time on my hands I&#

I've been saying this for years and suffice it to say it has been a career-limiting move for me. If any new developers are reading this be warned that these are considered dangerous ideas. Know your audience before sharing controversia

It would be nice if the results were anonymized so that people can voluntarily explain their high estimate. This is useful in highly politicized environments in which managers make fun of and pressure individual people for voting higher.

Even if you spend as little as possible and intend to leave an inheritance, you still must wonder how much you can safely withdraw from your investments, no? Simply wanting a particular outcome is seldom sufficient to make it so.

Networthify is missing quite a few features. Namely social security, pensions, annuities, taxes, capital depletion. It makes you internalize everything in your head in real, after-tax terms as if inflation and taxes don't exist. Nesteg

Can't believe this is almost a decade old. I recently tried explaining this concept during an interview and got a lot of strange looks. Most devs (even senior) were taught von Neumann architecture and assume all memory is shared. This

It's funny you mention FI Calc. We're actually collaborating together to implement my strategy into his calculator. Here's the PR: https://github.com/jamesplease/fi-calc/pull/197 I totally unde

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I recently implemented localization of the number formatting and must have introduced this bug then. I'll fix it.

I'm not quite ready to open source this project just yet as I believe I possess some trade secret-level intellectual property. I might be wrong about that, so if anyone can find a calculator that can do what my calculators can do then
