I never really fell in love with delicious (partly because I could never remember where to put the dots). I have, however, found a good bit of use out of Historious lately. StavrosK is quick to mention it (he did in another Historious threa

I find this interesting as well. It's a rare song that I like /because/ of the lyrics (or even despite the lyrics). For the most part they are just part of the music - another instrument adding complexity to the song. Despite that, I can't

Yes, but no Android market . I've been waiting for this for a while, but without the market place I'm not sure if I'll jump on it. They screwed up getting me a reasonable expectation of when it'd ship long enough. I made the plunge. I bough

I have no experience with iOS development, but in Android you can extend classes for views and provide custom behavior for most things you'd want to customize. You also can configure quite a lot of the look and feel of the interface entirel

Put Android Developer in your profile on LinkedIn. I don't know how successful it ultimately ends up being, but you'll certainly get spammed with recruiters trying to find Android developers.

May I suggest using the W3C geolocation API to get the user's location and pre-populate that? It's Simple to get the Coordinates, and then you can probably use Google's geocode API to get the address. I just tried to use this while travelin

Quite a number of links are self-submitted, and it seems to be well accepted. What isn't accepted is self-submission of link-bait / pointless / off-topic articles, especially when your submission history shows that those types of links are

I'd suggest putting something letting the user know what it does (beyond the little label beside the search box). It's a pretty handy tool, but it doesn't make it clear what it does - which is going to make sharing it a lot harder.

I'm pretty sure Verizon's MiFi is contract only (and $60 for 5GB data). Virgin's just recently became unlimited, but I /think/ it's always been contract-free, it just used to be 5GB. Virgin's got a public awareness problem (at least among t

Have you found it shuts down periodically? I was tethered to it all day yesterday (plugged in to the wall and not plugged in), and about halfway through the day it started disconnecting from the WWAN every 30 minutes or so. The "Connect" bu

It's begging for auto-location adjustment (when I land somewhere new on a plane, I'd want to see the nearest tower for where I am). At the very least, there should be a way to pick the nearest towers to your current location easily. Bonus

The key differences I see are: * Groupon takes a large cut of the coupon purchase cost - up to 100% if Posies Cafe is to be believed. So it's more like a 80-100% off coupon as far as the shop is concerned. * All income is realized up front.

That at least helps explain why there aren't more existing (popular) apps that are hybrid apps that (at the very least) look the same on both. I just got an ipad to try and I was astounded by how bad the scaled mode for non ipad apps is. Su

My understanding is that the difference between 1.5 and 1.6 was huge in terms of what it provides in API/functionality and a lot of apps target 1.6 as a minimum as a result. Probably a lot more than target 2.1 or 2.2. 2.0 almost doesn't ex
