T-Mobile really seems to have turned their act around. I was with them for a long time but went to AT&T for the 3Gs (at the time being able to tether at a decent speed was worth it). Now, I don't know. I'm on Verizon and Verizon's cover

The real problem is a non-subsidized phone costs you more on most carriers than the subsidized version. Even if bringing your own phone gets you out of having to have a contract, you don't save anything in the process. You pay the same mont

More colors won't help anyway - people can only distinguish so many colors before the distinctions become meaningless. This is a great opportunity to try to visualize the info in a different way that takes advantage of the noise rather than

This will rapidly turn into some bizarre form of performance art. You're going to run out of colors pretty quickly. The instructions get obscured by the user list, at least on my Linux version of Chrome.

The removal of the ability to quickly select unread messages is proving to be an annoyance. I know I can select it from the checkbox dropdown, but I used that link constantly in my multi-inboxes set-up. Now having to do it in two clicks is

I use this option, but beware. At least some of them don't offer the export. I forget exactly which book it was, but one of the ones I bought didn't have that option. I imagine I could go pull the files manually off of /data/app, though.

Nope, it makes perfect sense to me. Open ID made no sense to non-computer enthusiasts (and to plenty of the enthusiasts as well). Those same people all have Facebook accounts and probably visit Facebook multiple times a day. They trust Face

It looks like it's simply checking to see if CSS is being inlined in responses. The page source is pretty simple, and it looks like it's doing everything on the client side. A CSS file is being included as the first link in the HEAD, and t

To add to the list, Notepad++ (hold down alt and click+drag, I believe) does this, as does Eclipse (although it's annoying to enable in Eclipse (shift+alt+a to toggle it on, then block select, then toggle it off). It also only seems to work

I've often heard an argument for pay dating sites over free ones is that the people on the pay sites are more serious about it. On sites like OkCupid, you can run into people who are just basically trolling profiles (or just in it for the q

UI comments - If I press enter on title, don't create, move me to the first item. If I press enter/tab on items and I'm on the last one, give me an extra one. I shouldn't need to click a mouse button to add more tasks to the list.

I remember reading an article about how a certain set of traffic lights (I think in New York City) were left on entirely automatic cycling - at least on Shabbat for the Orthodox Jewish community. I can't find the article anymore. The disabl

The mouse is definitely dead. I killed it and replaced it with a thumb-track ball ages ago. It's absurdly bulky, but it is almost always in my laptop bag. The trackpads on the Mac laptops are indeed nice to use, but it's still nicer to have
