At first I thought "This sounds stupid, just play a little, have some fun, and move on like everyone else". Then I remembered my own experiences with addictive substances. Addiction rewires your brain, which is an experience I for

Agreed, Nvidia's dominance is annoying. I made irrational purchasing decisions in the past to support the underdog, likening it to using Firefox. Unfortunately with AMD you just get a worse product. This space sorely needs more competi

Agreed, if anything, I actually would have liked to hear a little more about the author, given the title. A lot of startups have founder backstories weaved into their pitch. 'Who are you, and why are you doing this?' can be an int

I'm an atheist that's generally anti religion, but I think it's unfair to dismiss OP's personal experience as an invalid answer to the question. You could say this community is implicitly a secular one, but OP's ans

Perhaps the tone and context were not clear. > And? A set of negative responses tends to make the quality of Internet discussions deteriorate. I thought there was an interesting discussion to be had, so suggested an alternative phrasing.

I think the way you've phrased your question will invite negative responses. Perhaps a better way would be "I'd like to understand why age discrimination exists in tech. What motivates companies to do this?"

I did also interpret the title the same way! I had images of a 3D printed version of Google's original server/storage assembly: http://infolab.stanford.edu/pub/voy/museum/pictures/display/.

We did W21, and whilst the point that 'remote < in-person' has some validity, I fundamentally disagree on the points about YC's network, partners and community. Most of the YC network effects occur after demo day. Likewise

Strongly agree with this. One thing I realised is, startups should spend more time optimising the decision of their top priority, and less time optimising efficiency. There's no point working on the wrong thing with 100% efficiency.

You could put self-driving tech into one of two categories: 1) So hard, even with incremental progress, we can't predict the problem will be solved even in a decade or two, e.g. Nuclear fusion, General AI (AGI). 2) Hard, but the progre
