It was Sweden (with a similar system to Norway) where Frank Abagnale[1] (Catch Me If You Can) spent some time and spoke highly of the penal system of the Scandinavian countries. I think he mentioned they were paid a fair wage, able to take

Oh thanks. I was hoping it would just remove the app from the taskbar and keep the player still on the screen (like winamp). Not quite the same, but it can probably be tweaked in the source.

I might be willing to switch if it can do a minimal interface[1] like Winamp does (depending on the skin). That's what keeps me on Winamp the most. edit: Awesome, it does[2] (if you switch to the winamp classic skin). Just need to find how

Winamp also has a library built into it. Whether one chooses to use it is another thing entirely though.

I still use it for the fact I can reduce its size down to about 1/8" of my screen[1] (on a 23" 1920x1200 monitor) and scroll through my playlist with my mouse scroll wheel while docked on the taskbar of my screen. No other player (windows,

Seeing this reminded me of a few other really old recordings by famous people I've stumbled upon in the past. I still can't get over the amazement of finding these recordings most of us thought anyone would have cared to do or preserve. Joh

If you're using Debian, dotdeb[1] comes with the ngnix-extras (includes the push stream module[2]) installed as well as some other goodies like passenger. [1] http://www.dotdeb.org/2011/12/19/nginx-1-0-11-passenger-3-0-... [2] https://gi

The parent also said that particular app is well established and that his newer apps do not fair as well. While paid apps might not be dead, they are significantly harder to get noticed these days as he also mentioned.

While I would love to have a mobile device that gets updates for 5 years, I don't believe such a device exists (even Community ROM Projects for Android have troubles keeping up on performance after a couple of years [like the Nexus One]). N

All of what you said is 100% true about T-Mobile USA. Just to amend, their tech support and customer service is similar. From friends I know that deal with them, they outsource all their tech support to firms with employees that can barely

I agree that it does seem that less are probably learning bitwise stuff these days. Anyone that still goes the traditional route of taking Computer Science in school is still at least exposed to them though through taking an assembly/archit

Short of blocking them with a host file addition after finding the adhost, one can block notifications for individual apps via the app info (hold press on notification and select app info). Must be on Android 4.1+ I believe though. I dont t

I miss them too. I make up for it playing the X series[1] and Freespace mods[2]. X series is more like a single player Eve (also has lots of mods like Freespace), while Freespace is more like X-Wing/Tie Fighter. There's even a Star Wars mod
