It’s interesting to see how their devices evolved from insanely modular to putting everything on one big board. I highly doubt we’ll see it but I’d love to see a fatter MacBook Pro that is fully modular.

I prefer Gartner’s Hype Cycle[1] way of displaying this. This post seems pretty inspired by it but the removal of the graph really makes it harder to grok quickly. Still, the trend seems to be: 1. New technology, over promises 2. Marketing

Something I’ve found interesting with cable vs. streaming services is that when cable was the only option, people didn’t like that you had to get the sports package to somehow get the history channel. In addition to this, it’s extremely dif

Can someone explain to me how about a decade ago we were going to run out of IPv4 addresses in a matter of months and we needed to switch to IPv6 or else , but now we’re still using it fine?

This is a great idea and something that I would argue is required given all of the different “standards” manufacturers use these days. It’s probably a long shot but I’d love to see them all together to build a standard across all RGB device

I was skeptical before reading this. Now I’m even more skeptical. It seems like we’d just be letting the pandemic define us. While my life has changed, in the short scheme, my grand scheme really hasn’t. We may see changes in the world afte

My previous employer went all in on ditching their RHEL boxes for CentOS. I wonder how that change is treating them now. Given this change by Red Hat/IBM, was it wasted effort? I wonder if they’ll now switch back to RHEL.

I haven’t seen groups in the games I play use Teamspeak or Ventrilo in probably 5-10 years. There was a push to Mumble a few years back and it seems like as soon as Discord hit the market it just took over. Do certain games still lean towar
