Yes, as I say, the photo is great for campaigning. Only a few years later, half a million people was massacred with knifes(!) in Rhuanda, and nobody in the West really cared. So, the photo didn't really change anything. Its just good to lob

How did Tank Man change the world forever?? Here in China, hardly anybody has ever seen the picture or heard of him. Unfortunately, he seems to be just a good campaigning picture in the West.

What is impressive of "facing bullets" if there are smarter and more effective ways? In Tunisia they down'd the gov't, that is what matters. Judging, from the comfort of one's sofa, what is a more "impressive" way to do it, is hardly helpfu

Half of the farm land in Europe is unused because of over production, dude. And if they wanted to use "Greek islands for farmland" (LOLOLOL) they could just buy it. That's not a matter of sovereignty. "A company in charge of collecting taxe

Thanks, good info. And even more funny that they messed up including the GA code and tried to use some "async hack" to paste it.

"Loses access"? It sounds more like they let it expire on purpose. And to me it sounds like a strong message to Twitter and everybody, that G is really serious about G+. "We don't need Twitter, we have our own stream pretty soon."

Nobody in France or Germany will be remotely interested in "taking over" Greece. Its like saying "hey, I got here a bucked of problems, want them?" Well, no, thanks! The sovereignty of all European countries is "weakened", that's the whole

"Overrunning". WTF dude? They kicked communists (usually agents of the Stasi, the secret police) out of government jobs, most of those had gotten the job because they were party members. That is hardly "nasty". The other way around would ha

About law, actually. If a law is stupid and was only made to get some politicians re-elected by a histerical crowd, then... you pay the consequences.

Yes, we have. Germany took over Eastern Germany just 2 decades ago and paid huge amounts of money to get the East to a more or less equal level. The result is that the old communists that had destroyed Eastern Germany, today still get over

Not really surprising. Rehabilitation and re-socialization are common for treatment of other criminals in Europe too. It makes much more sense than "getting revenge" by locking people up to "punish them", especially if the crime they commit

A calendar application is a bit different, since the whole subject of the application is time, time zones, etc. Still I'd store all in UTC along with the user's time zone (you'd have to store the time zone anyway with localized time too).

That would not solve the problem. Greek would still not pay they money back to the French and German banks they took it from. The EU has to get Greece on track, and this is a good moment to do it. Greece has lied (falsified financial data)
