You absolutely can do this (I just signed up for an account). That said, it isn't 0 risk (nothing is) - they could technically fail to redeem, and then you'd lose your money. If you think they will redeem, this is indeed a good tr

And if there isn't, I'm curious if there are other US exchanges that are structured in such a way (acting as a trustee for customers).

Haha, I totally get where you're coming from. From my perspective, I will say that compared to other "investments", I really felt like I could understand the risks with UST. I had money invested, but because I understood the

I'd argue that UST / Anchor is more transparent tbh. Anyone can read the source code, or (more accessibly) the docs and get a pretty good understanding of how it works. For example: UST [0] - anyone can mint UST by burning $1 wort

I was trying to understand how it works, and it looks like there are 2 things at play here. First, UST can always be burnt for $1 worth of LUNA (determined based upon the price the oracle establishes). There appears to be some sort of rate

What do you mean by a honeypot? Both are pretty well trusted devices, and users easily have tens of billions of dollars deposited on them. Given that, I feel pretty comfortable using them for 2fa.

Has anyone tried a Ledger or Trezor device for something like this? Your FIDO U2F private key is deterministically generated [0] based upon your seed phrase, which you can backup, and restore on other devices. [0] https://www.red

I realize FIDO is better than TOTP since it prevents phishing attacks, etc, but as a user, the ability to backup my seeds is extremely convenient.

I think GP's example of the Apple store line matches a lot better. The high fees on Ethereum were for 2 or 3 hours, similar to Apple's line when they sell a new phone. If you don't absolutely need to run a transaction during
