The trick is that ESP* chips implement a lot of the stack in firmware. This saves a lot of IP in dedicated hardware that allows for price reduction, but has it’s drawbacks, mostly in terms of energy consumption. There’s also a good amount o

When presented with this kind of “simple advice”, I always like to think the counter examples. Quantity is great, unless you are trying to change a paradigm. Iterative learning gets you trapped in local minima, so be sure to aim for quality

I’ve always seen this debate as kind of moot. The thing with optimizing, is that you always optimize with a target . Large corporations rule top-down because goals are set at the top. That’s very different from a society problem.

If you’ve seen how athletes are raised up nowadays, you’ll see why people say that. There’s an assortment of performance enhancers that are legal in most competitions, and are extensively use by amateurs (think gels in running for example).

Except it simply doesn’t work. Companies don’t pay taxes, people pay taxes. Companies may be the ones signing the checks to IRS, but they’re not the ones footing the bill. The only difference is that for big companies it’s worth their while

A lot of people in the embedded world still use A,B,C,.. for versioning. Add to it the dangers of names being taken directly from de clients, and enjoy the fun. Having clients name something “machine v2” was a nightmare. On the plus side, i
