I could essentially do it in my system without any modifications. I use desktop + laptop hooked up to the same screen and sharing mouse and keyboard through a usb switch. I can toggle between systems with a button on my desk without giving any clues of anything happening. Completely different machine, so no hopes of ever seing that.
