This is what you gotta give to MS. You can still install AoE2 on Windows 10 no problem (right?), but trying to get it to work on a Mac requires custom third party wrappers. (I also didn't even know/forgot AoE was released for the

Yeah, what you noticed is correct, but the reason is completely wrong. edit: see the map on wiki[0] The reason it might be true that people from smaller countries speak better English is emphasis - in a small country, people are fully aware

That's quite the point, for a transpiler targeting another language is not just "a way to implement it". It is a conscious decision with many pros and cons and an impact on the transpiled language itself.

The downvotes are undeserved. The solution is npm on the OS level - you specify the version of the dependency you require, and each version is installed across the OS only once.

I think the argument of "anyone can figure out how it's done" is moot (as pointed out by many). But there is a significant change here: with Javascript or even ASM I can always take parts of someone's code and use it for

I fail to see how obfuscated textual blobs are any better. It's not like I can get any useful information from thousands of lines of gibberish JavaScript. As a sibling pointed out, WA supports textual representation.

Great analogy, wrong resolution. The situation is like jQuery, because WebGL is a TERRIBLE API for any but the most low level drawing code (remember, it's not even a 3D API, just a drawing API to interact with the graphics hardware). W
